Moore Media recognise the city’s creatives

The Government-backed programme led by the National Cyber Security Centre encouraged those working within a creative sector to ‘Rethink. Reskill. Reboot’.

The advert showing a ballet dancer tying her shoes next to the text, ‘Fatima’s next job could be in cyber (she just doesn’t know it yet)’, circulated across social media, with anger and frustration spreading just as fast.

Offended and disregarded, creative minds expressed the ad as ‘a total lack of respect for the arts’ given the difficulties they are facing due to the pandemic.

While we accept creative industries are facing a time of change, we must offer support as we prepare to come out the other side stronger than ever before.

Creatives living and working in Liverpool are the beating heart of the city as they play a huge part in the rich culture and heritage we are so famed for. With more museums and galleries than any other city outside of the capital and home to the second largest theatre in the country, Liverpool draws in millions of visitors per year to the bright lights of this beautiful city.

Moore Media wants to give recognition to our city’s valued creators and innovators. To all the creative professionals who are tirelessly working to add vibrance, colour and culture to the city we proudly call home, we want to say thank you.
